CANA Y MARTIN
Martin Zƚotnicki⬀ and I met through flamenco, and we love making our own flamenco together. Each of us has our own path and personal circumstances that make us love it deeply. Beyond our original compositions, we also explore tradition to offer a varied show covering a wide spectrum of this art form.
Martin brings a virtuosic and deeply authentic interpretation. Born in Poland, he studied music there and specialized in guitar. He says that ever since discovering flamenco through Paco de Lucía, he knew he wanted to dedicate himself to this music. He studied flamenco guitar in Granada with Jerónimo Maya. His technique, his original artistic vision, his compositions, and his search for an authentic sound make him a very special and beloved partner.
Martin Zƚotnicki⬀ and I met through flamenco. We enjoy playing together, each in our own way. We perform our own compositions and also explore tradition.
Martin, virtuosic and true to himself, was born in Poland. Since discovering flamenco through Paco de Lucía, he wanted to dedicate himself to this music. He studied flamenco guitar in Granada. His technique, originality, compositions, and sound make him a very special partner.
As for me, I experience flamenco from a personal perspective too. Being a singer and guitarist, having grown up in Marchena, Seville, and feeling deeply connected to my culture, it is natural that I want to sing and play its folklore. Even more so when flamenco has become such a valued and successful genre, and when I spend much of the year outside Andalusia. I have always been close to flamenco in a more informal and festive way. Now, as I go deeper into more traditional styles, I feel proud to have the opportunity to perform them—especially alongside my partner Martin.
I also experience flamenco in my own way. Being a singer and guitarist from Seville and deeply connected to my culture, I long to perform its folklore. Even more so when flamenco has become so successful and when I spend much of my time outside Andalusia. I have always been around flamenco, but now that I go deeper into it I feel proud to perform it—especially alongside Martin.
